The network security vector

Two independent securities, one premise. Economic security lives with the people who validate and can refuse invalid coin; it weakens when validation is delegated away. Confirmation security lives with miners and weakens as hash power pools. Censorship resistance is bought by the fee premium — the block subsidy buys none of it. Beneath both sits an axiom, not a proof: that resistance to control is possible at all. Security here is a level, not an amount, and it can never be directly measured — which is exactly why this surface holds definitions and no readings.

TERM · DEFINITION
Economic securityActivity times distribution times participation among validating merchants — the people who can refuse invalid coin. Delegation collapses many validators into one.
Confirmation securityThe same product measured across miners and hash power. Pooling concentrates it; distribution restores it.
The fee premiumCensorship enforcement must outspend the fee premium forever; the subsidy pays the censor as much as anyone.
Secured by peopleNot by chains, cryptography, or game theory — “it is secured by people” who accept personal risk.
